Fronted by a 23-year-old vocal vixen, the Gab Cinque Band has developed into a musical hurricane on the Jersey Shore.

Mix of spot-on covers and tasty originals, the band released their debut EP, “Highway Junkie,” featuring the energetic “What I Need,” the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “What I Need” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on July 26 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin and Mixcloud.

Fans of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act Heart will love the passionately entertaining sound and vibe of GCB, especially Gab’s Ann Wilson-like powerhouse vocals.
