Lizzie Rose Music Room Announces Storyteller Series

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton has announced a new Storyteller Series that kicks off on Friday, January 13, 2023 with the Carmine Appice Diaries and Carmine speaking about his incredible, enduring career as one of Rock’s top drummers. On March 18th, the series continues with New Jersey born and raised Eddie Trunk, acclaimed Rock/Heavy Metal radio and TV personality tells behind the scenes tales of his interviews and time spent with Rock’s biggest names.

Primarily known for presenting a curated selection of concerts in an intimate setting, Lizzie Rose Music Room looks to broaden the entertainment for its audiences by bringing in musicians and known names in the industry telling personal stories of their accomplished careers.

Storyteller Series Carmine Appice Diaries - Friday, January 13th, 2023 from 7:30pm - 10:00pm.  Carmine tells his personal stories from onstage and beyond and maybe a little drumming!

Carmine Appice is repeatedly named on multiple Top Drummers of All Time lists including Rolling Stone and Modern Drummer magazines. His incredible career includes time with Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart with whom he co-authored the mega hits "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy” and “Young Turks”, Ozzy Osbourne, Cactus, Beck Bogart & Appice, to name a few. He is widely credited as an influence on top rock drummers including Led Zeppelin's John Bonham and Queen’s Roger Taylor.

In 1967 Carmine began his professional career setting the grooves for Vanilla Fudge’s groundbreaking psychedelic debut, inadvertently inventing "Stoner Rock" in the process. The Fudge had no precedent. No rock group, up until that point, had ever s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out well-known pop tunes like the Beatles “Eleanor Rigby” and “Ticket To Ride,” Curtis Mayfield‘s “People Get Ready,” and, most famously, The Supremes‘ Motown classic “You Keep Me Hangin‘ On” to such hippie heights.  Carmine had set a new benchmark for rock drumming. Vanilla Fudge’s debut album is still considered a Hard Rock classic. Stories of tours mates Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and opening act Led Zeppelin are all must hears for music fans.

MORE NEWS

My favorite Jersey album last year was Jackson Pines' "Pine Barrens Volume One," the title of which had me and I'm sure a lot of other folks excited about "Volume Two," which dropped earlier this year and was supposed to be part of a combo review with "Wheel," the band's next original studio album. But Jackson Pines have been makin so many waves, they had to postpone the "Wheel" release so here's a review of "PBV2" all by its lonesome.
