Carteret seeks bands and artists for September Music Festival

(CARTERET, NJ) -- The Central Jersey Arts Council is looking for artists. Are you looking for an opportunity to showcase your music? Here’s your chance! Carteret is holding a music festival during the annual Ethnic Day and Charity Carnival Celebration on Sunday, September 15-18, leading up to the Battle of the Bands.

Performance dates include: Thursday, September 15, 2022 – Music Festival 6:00pm-10:00pm; Friday, September 16, 2022 – Music Festival 6:00pm-10:00pm; Saturday, September 17, 2022 – Music Festival All Day; and Sunday, September 18, 2022 – Artist Competition All Day.

The arts are essential in building vital communities. Meaningful arts programming has the power to connect us as a society and revitalize us as individuals. Art plays a fundamental role in a well-rounded educational system as well as a prospering economy. Communities that integrate art into their culture posses a universal language with which to interpret the past and envision the future. Central Jersey has an incredibly rich and diverse cultural landscape. Central Jersey Arts Council ensures communities have access to everything this region has to offer.

Light of Day Winterfest to Celebrate 25th Anniversary in January

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) --– The Light of Day Foundation has announced WinterFest 2025, the annual music festival taking place throughout January in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Montclair and New York City. "Bob's Birthday Bash" will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Count Basie Center's Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre with a lineup including John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), Brian Baker (Bad Religion), Pete Steinkopf (The Bouncing Souls), Dramarama, Willie Nile, Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers plus very special guests to be announced soon.
