(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Juan Fernando Velasco on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 8:00pm. Juan stands as a preeminent figure in Ecuadorian pop music, having significantly shaped the musical landscape of his native country over the past quarter-century.
With the distinction of being nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Awards, securing an Emmy win, and amassing a plethora of gold and platinum records attesting to his exceptional sales, Velasco has firmly established himself both domestically and internationally as a foremost exponent of his craft.
Since embarking on his solo career in 1999 with the release of his inaugural album, Velasco has consistently ascended the ranks of popularity charts, with enduring hits such as "Para que no me olvides," “Déjame", and "Chao Lola" resonating across diverse generations, imprinting themselves into the collective consciousness of listeners. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- On September 14-15, 2024, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) opens its 2024-25 Season celebrating Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov's 60th Birthday. Violinist Aubree Oliverson makes her debut with the PSO as soloist in performances of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35. Also on the program are Gemma Peacocke's Manta, performed with members of the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey, and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 98.
