Carteret's own New Jersey Hall of Fame power-pop act The Smithereens will return Dec. 7 to Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center for a homecoming concert. Guest vocalists and longtime friends Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms and Marshall Crenshaw will join Carteret-raised guitarist Jim Babjak, drummer Dennis Diken and bassist Mike Mesaros.
