(BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Are reports of floods, droughts, wildfires and soaring seasonal temperatures keeping you on edge? See how small positive actions can lead to dramatic changes during the Book Talk with author and environmentalist Debbie McGuire at the Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The event begins at 6:00pm.
Debbie’s newly published Everyday Choices for the Earth: Hope through Our Multiplied Actions is a compendium of facts, challenges and solutions for a more habitable planet. Published at the close of 2024, it’s in worldwide distribution in multiple formats.
“Every day individuals can make more climate-friendly choices about food, clothing, transportation, travel, etc.,” Debbie said. “These good choices can be multiplied with those of others in order to have an impact. Thus, individuals can have hope about the future of our planet.” She interacts with followers on X and TikTok.
Everyday Choices, the follow-up to her God’s Good Earth, came about through Debbie’s ponderings about the kind of planet that her young grandson would inherit as an adult. The challenge of convincing others of her concerns bred the practical compendium of individual actions that can be multiplied through communities, states and nations.
