originally published: 03/28/2025

(RANDOLPH, NJ) -- This spring, the community is invited to enjoy a variety of live performances at County College of Morris (CCM) presented by the Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies. From dance showcases to choir concerts and cabaret performances, these events—many of which are free to attend—provide an exciting opportunity to be entertained by the exceptional talents of CCM students and faculty.

Kicking off the spring season is a “Dance Theatre Showcase,” featuring dynamic performances by CCM’s dance students. The first performance will take place on Friday, April 4 at 12:30pm and admission is free. A second showcase, to be held on Saturday, April 5 at 7:30pm has general admission tickets priced at $10. Both showcases will take place in Dragonetti Auditorium.

“Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812,” an electropop opera by award-winning composer Dave Malloy, is based on a scandalous slice of Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.” This stunning musical production will run from Wednesday, April 23, through Saturday, April 26 at 7:30pm, in Dragonetti Auditorium. General admission tickets are $15, while CCM students, alumni, children under 12, and seniors 62 and over are $10.

The program continues with a “Chamber Choir Concert” to be held on Friday, May 2 at 7:30pm, also in Dragonetti Auditorium. Admission is free, offering the public a no-cost evening to see and hear the harmonious voices of CCM’s talented vocalists in a live setting.

For those who love Broadway, “Cabaret: Tony Winning Broadway Musicals,” will be held on Monday, May 5 at 7:30pm. Taking place in CCM’s Marielaine Mammon Black Box Theatre in the Music Technology Center, Room 105, this intimate, must-see, performance showcases the finest voices at CCM performing well-known Broadway hits. Admission is free and seating is limited.
