Art House Productions presents HerStory 2025 on Saturday

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions, in collaboration with Jersey City Council President Joyce E. Watterman, is proud to present HerStory 2025, a special oratory play honoring Women's History Month on Saturday, March 29 at 6:00pm. This inspiring program showcases powerful personal narratives celebrating the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in our community.

Following the performance, there will be a panel discussion led by Council President Joyce E. Watterman. A medical professional specializing in women’s health from the Jersey City Medical Center will participate in the panel discussion alongside the writers.

HerStory 2025 will feature moving stories from local women, performed by a talented ensemble of actors dedicated to bringing these voices to life. Audiences will experience a dynamic blend of storytelling and performance, highlighting the profound impact of women in our society.

Featured Storytellers include: Marijul 'Jujo' Conol, Tanvi Malushte, Kayla Khaled, Katrina Powell, Twinkle Roy, Morgan Spann, Rachel Therres, amd Monique Wilson. Performers include: Saanchi Amin, Upasna Barath, Toni Belafonte, Yanelba Ferreira, Asia Jenine, Shigeko Sara Suga, and Rachel Therres.

(LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia, New Jersey's oldest continuing community theater group (since 1919), presents The Normal Heart - Larry Kramer's groundbreaking and deeply moving drama about the early years of the AIDS epidemic. This limited engagement is playing at the Civil War Drill Hall Theatre for two more weekends from March 28 to April 6, 2025. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

Lewis Center for the Arts’ Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "Macbeth in Stride" by Whitney White

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents Macbeth in Stride, a musical by Obie Award-winning theater artist Whitney White that employs rock, pop, gospel, and R&B to investigate some of the most familiar narratives of Shakespeare's "Scottish play." The production is directed by Princeton senior Layla Williams. Performances are April 4-5, April 10-12, 2025 at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center (91 University Place) in Princeton. Showtime is 8:00pm each night.
