The first single from Jersey Shore rockers Patty C and The Pints’ forthcoming debut EP, “Happy Camper,” weighs the pros and cons of life.
“Spreading Love” is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Spreading Love” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on March 21 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin and Mixcloud.
“‘Spreading Love’ is a song that resonates with how I feel about my day to day life,” said the Atlantic Highlands-based singe/songwriter/multi-instrumental aka Pat Conley. “Trying to overpower the negative with the positive in a world where I feel like that is very much needed. You never know what someone is going through, and I think the idea of ‘Spreading Love’ is something everyone should strive for!”
Patty C and The Pints’ upcoming “Happy Camper” EP will consist of four songs that were written by Patty; produced, recorded and mixed by Sonoma Beach Studio’s Joey Papa, who also played percussion, and mastered by Tom Brick at Absolute Audio Mastering.
The band’s music blends various genres — rock, reggae, hip-hop, pop, R&B — with catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and uplifting messages, as heard in their second single, “Jam Under a Rock.”
The Pints include Cranston Dean on drums and vocals, Tyler Brick on bass and vocals, Tim Enny on piano and keyboards, and Lee Ferejohn on electric guitar. Their EP release will be April 25 with their good friends The Mercury Brothers in a Round Robin style at the Chubby Pickle in Highlands.
When not busy with his own band, Patty C plays bass and keyboards in Cranston Dean Band, so he and Cranston will be pulling double duty when they share the bill April 4 on the stage of their hometown movie theater, Smodcastle Cinemas, in Atlantic Highlands.
Patty C and The Pints also will play March 29 at Skate & Music Festival’s Skate The Cape 10 in Cape Henlopen, DE, which will coincide with the release of the third single, “Wet Siders.” Patty also will play solo May 2 at The Asbury hotel in Asbury Park.
“Take That Chance,” the fourth and final “Happy Camper” single, will coincide with the EP’s release on April 25.
