(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Blackmore's Night on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 8:00pm. The band features Ritchie Blackmore (legendary guitarist formerly of Deep Purple and Rainbow) and award-winning vocalist Candice Night.
Together they've created a new genre of music for all ages, inspired by melodies of the Renaissance period, and Blackmoreized into contemporary music. They call it Renaissance/Folk/Rock.
Tickets range from $39-$99 and are available for purchase online. Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) is located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.
In 1997, Blackmore’s Night released their debut CD, Shadow of the Moon, which immediately went gold in Japan and earned multiple music awards worldwide. Meanwhile, their devoted fan base has grown exponentially as the band performs their mystical music for all ages. From grandparents to children, everyone is enjoying their medieval mood music and gypsy dances.
Award winning lyricist and vocalist, Candice Night, contributes her unique, entrancing vocals, but deftly navigates seven medieval woodwinds, including chanters, shawms, pennywhistles and recorders. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and celebrated guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, traverses between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, mandola and hurdy gurdy. Accompanied by their minstrel band, the collective embraces the aura of the old-world ballads to good old-fashioned Renaissance-inspired pub songs.
Every one of Blackmore’s Night studio CDs has debuted in the top of Billboards charts. They have earned Awards such as “Best Album of the Year”, “Best Vocal Album of the Year” and their sold-out concerts in castles and UNESCO sites worldwide are filled with thousands of fans dressed in Renaissance garb, dancing and singing as if time stood still. Let the music transport you back in time and enjoy an unforgettable evening with Blackmore's Night.
There will be a limited Live Shows this spring, 2025. They will be performing several shows in the USA as fans from all over the world will meet up again as the mystical fires glow at midnight.
Candice and Ritchie feel very strongly at helping local no-kill animal shelters. So, wherever they play, they always invite a local animal shelter or animal rescue organization to set up a donation table at their concert. They look forward again to helping these organizations for their upcoming shows.
A new Solo CD release, Seaglass, from Candice Night is being released on April 25, 2025. Her first single from the CD, Angel and Jezebel can now be heard on all music streaming platforms.
New Jersey Stage interviewed Candice and Ritchie in 2024. That feature can be found here.
