Clinton to hold Art in Bloom Festival on April 6th

originally published: 03/12/2025

(CLINTON, NJ) -- The Art in Bloom Festival is returning to historic downtown Clinton on Sunday, April 6, 2025. After the overwhelming success of its inaugural year in 2024, the festival is set to bloom once again, showcasing the natural beauty of Clinton's cherry blossoms while celebrating local artisans, vibrant music, and the town's unique small-town charm.

Last year, over 2,000 visitors enjoyed this vibrant, community celebration, and we can’t wait to see even more of you this year. Admission is FREE.

This year’s Art in Bloom will feature over 100 local artisans displaying their handmade goods, including jewelry, pottery, fine art, and home décor. With something for everyone, it’s the perfect opportunity to shop and support talented makers in the community. Visitors can explore the fabulous small shops and eateries that line the streets of downtown Clinton, making it the ideal day to enjoy great food and browse unique finds.

In addition to the incredible shopping and art appreciation, Art in Bloom will offer a lineup of free live music performances throughout the day, bringing lively energy to the festival. Festivalgoers can also unwind in the wine & beer gardens, where local craft brews and wines will be served in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

To ensure a fun, safe, and pedestrian-friendly experience, Clinton’s main streets will be closed to traffic for the day, allowing guests to stroll freely through the event. And, of course, visitors will have the chance to take in the breathtaking cherry blossoms that make Clinton so special this time of year.

"Open Book(s)" - Adventures on the wild frontier of bookmaking, and meaning-making, in the first floor galleries of Mana Contemporary

Books do not need to be beautiful objects to be cherished. Many indispensable books on my shelf were in poor condition when I brought them home from the shop. The publishers who put out the cheap yellow-page paperbacks that rocked my world and set my course when I was a child didn’t give much consideration to font, printing, or paper stock. All that mattered was readability. Could I open it fast, close it up quick, and chuck it in my bag when I was done? If anybody at the publishing company was making design decisions, those were their objectives. Any impediment to or distraction from the reading experience was unwelcome. They took it for granted that everything that mattered was inside the book.
