Exploring the Language of Lines: Jina Kwon's Dot & Line Collection at "Contemporary Discourage"

originally published: 03/02/2025

(NORTH BERGEN, NJ) -- Acclaimed NYC-based artist Jina Kwon presents her Dot & Line Collection as part of the group exhibition "Contemporary Discourage" at Olya Gallery in North Bergen. The exhibition takes place throughout March.

Curated by Julie Jang, this exhibition brings together a dynamic group of contemporary artists, including Joy H. Kwon, In Young, Chunbum Park, Teasik Song, and Kiki Kim. Their works engage in a dialogue about modern abstraction and artistic expression, offering unique perspectives on structure, spontaneity, and human connection.

Kwon’s Dot & Line Collection is a striking exploration of abstraction, simplicity, and interconnectedness. Using vibrant yet minimalistic compositions, she transforms dots and lines into dynamic visual narratives that evoke emotion and contemplation. Her work challenges the boundaries between order and chaos, inviting viewers to interpret the rhythm and movement within each piece.

The exhibition is hosted at Olyaa Gallery, founded by Annie Kim, a space dedicated to showcasing innovative contemporary art. Join them to experience the energy and depth of Jina Kwon's Dot & Line Collection in person. The exhibition runs throughout March, with an opening event on March 8 at 4:00pm.

Olyaa Gallery is located at 704 76th Street in North Bergen, New Jersey.
