(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Get an insider's look into Washington, D.C., from acclaimed photojournalist Christy Bowe, who has covered the past five U.S. presidents. Bowe will speak on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Campus Center Theatre with moderator Alyssa Maurice, head of research at Stockton's William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy. The event, which begins at 6:00pm, is presented by the Hughes Center. Admission is free.
Bowe’s latest book, “History in the Making: A Focus on Five U.S. Presidents,” takes readers on a decades-long pictorial journey through major historical and political events. She depicts the unique perspective and approach of Presidents Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, showcasing the real people behind the podium.
Bowe also covered numerous confirmation hearings for Supreme Court justices, two U.S. Presidential impeachment hearings, the January 6 attack on the Capitol, and several Presidential Inaugurations.
She is currently a member of the White House Press Corps, the House and Senate Press Photographers’ Gallery and the White House Correspondents’ Association. After working her way into a small, elite circle of White House press photographers, Bowe founded ImageCatcher News Service and is represented by Getty Images and Zuma Press.
“Christy Bowe’s work lies at the intersection of art, history and politics. Her craft allows us greater access to the political leaders and policymakers who shape our lives,” Maruice said. “We’re thrilled for the opportunity to hear more about her esteemed career documenting some of the most prominent moments in our nation’s history.”
There will be a book signing after the talk and limited copies of Bowe’s book will be available for purchase at the event. Attendees will also be entered for a chance to win a free hardcover copy of her book.
