Bucha is a feature drama film based on actual events in Bucha, Vorzel, and Hostomel (Kyiv region) during the Russian occupation in the first months of the war in February-March 2022. The film is based on real events and tells stories about the rescue of Bucha residents by Konstantin Gudauskas, a citizen of Kazakhstan who received asylum in Ukraine and lived in Bucha. Konstantin not only saved people, but also became an eyewitness to all the horrors of war and occupation.

This benefit screening is organized by Leonid Foundation in collaboration with the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center and the New Jersey Film Festival. A panel discussion with Oleksandr Shchur, the producer and screenwriter of the film will follow the screening. Light refreshments will be provided.
