Bordentown Regional High School presents hilarious musical "Curtains"

originally published: 02/11/2025

(BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The musical comedy murder mystery Curtains: School Edition, with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and a witty, charming book by Rupert Holmes, will be presented February 21-22, 2025 at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center by the award-winning theatre students of Bordentown Regional High School.

This uproariously suspenseful musical comedy whodunit is set in the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959 when Boston’s Colonial Theatre is playing host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the terrible leading lady mysteriously dies on stage, the entire cast and crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be a musical theatre fan! Packed with glorious tunes by the legendary creators of Cabaret and Chicago, Curtains is a hilarious journey for both performers and audiences.

The Bordentown Regional High School cast stars students Adam Pollard as Cioffi, Emmary McLaughlin as Niki, Brynn Bowyer as Carmen, Rylie Evans as Georgia, Atlas Planas-Borgstrom as Aaron, Sika Brenya as Bambi, Adam Palmer as Belling, Ryan Haje as Oscar, River Skalski as Bobby, Wren Magby as Johnny, Alicia Kitner as Grady, Alex Martucci as Harv, Kade Sutton as Randy, Kayla Stubenazy-Rose as Sidney, and Gabriella Cuccia as Jessica. Leah Eisele, Emilie Kelly, Ansley Magby, Anthony Nami, and Genevieve Schenone are the Featured Dancers, with Genevieve also serving as the production’s Dance Captain. The Curtains ensemble includes Persephone Borsuk, Aron Erdos, Austin Faison-West, Aidan Gould, John Heitzenroeder, Alexa House, Ella James, Madelyn Jones, Andre McLaughlin, Rylan Phillips, Arianaliz Rios, Ellis Rominiecki, Sloan Smylie, and Peyton Todaro.

Performances take place on Friday, February 21 at 7:30pm and Saturday, February 22 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students, and can be purchased in advance at www.seatyourself.biz/brhs. Tickets will also be sold at the door. The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School, and is located at 318 Ward Avenue in Bordentown, New Jersey.
