(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- In February 2025, Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents a variety of concerts, shows and events sure to warm up even the coldest of winter nights.  From Broadway's The Cher Show to the classic Southern rock of The Outlaws, singer song-writer Matt Nathanson to the R&B and soul of Bilal, check out this month's lineup!

Magical Mystery Doors - Beatles, Zeppelin, Doors Tribute on Saturday, February 1 at 8:00pm. Magical Mystery Doors is a tribute act that blends and layers the music of  three legendary bands to create something new and unique for music fans  everywhere.The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors. These three iconic groups have  changed the face of music as we know it.  Their songs have become part of  our history.  Their melodies have moved people everywhere to “Come  Together” in their love of music.  Patrons attending a Magical Mystery  Doors performance can expect to hear timeless tunes from each of these  historic bands over the course of the night.  The songs you know, the songs  you love, the songs you sing at the top of your lungs! The Drew Forum presents: Al Franken on Monday, February 3 at 7:30pm. Former Senator and comedian Al Franken delves into the critical issues of the country with humor and insight, emphasizing the need for collective action to safeguard the nation’s foundation. Through a blend of personal experience, satire, and sharp analysis, he urges all Americans to recognize their power for positive change. The message is clear, and often funny: it’s time to speak up and shape the future of democracy. This event is generously sponsored by the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. Tickets range from $39-$79.

The Outlaws on Thursday, February 6 at 7:30pm. For more than 40 years, The Outlaws have celebrated triumphs and endured tragedies to remain one of the most influential and best-loved Southern Rock bands with classic hits that include that include “Green Grass & High Tides,” “There Goes Another Love Song,” and “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky.” Tickets range from $39-$79. Today, The Outlaws have returned with new music, new focus, and an uncompromising new mission: It’s about a band of brothers bound together by history, harmony, and the road. It’s about a group that respects its own legacy while refusing to be defined by it’s past. But most of all, it’s about pride.

The Cher Show - performances on Friday, February 7 at 8:00pm; Saturday, February 8 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm. Superstars come and go. Cher is forever. Vitamin String Quartet: The Music of Taylor Swift, Bridgerton, and Beyond on Thursday, February 13 at 7:30pm. With over two billion streams, pop-culture inspired instrumentalists Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) has helped establish classical crossover as a genuine force in contemporary music. Fresh off high-profile placements in Netflix's smash Bridgerton, VSQ has become one of the most popular contemporary string ensembles in the world. In this concert, VSQ performs fresh, spellbinding and innovative renditions of the music of Taylor Swift, alongside familiar hits from the likes of Billie Eilish, BTS, Bridgerton, The Weeknd and Daft Punk. Jay Leno on Friday, February 14 at 8:00pm. Jay Leno presents his hilarious take on the world when he performs his trademark brand of everyman humor that has made him one of America’s favorite comedians. Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist… Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.” Tickets range from $100-$150.

Sons of Cream on Saturday, February 15 at 8:00pm.  Kofi Baker and Malcolm Bruce have deep roots going back to the birth of the 60s’ British blues R&B rock explosion. Sons of Cream honors the legacy of their fathers, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce, featuring the music of Cream (“White Room,” “Sunshine of Your Love,” “Crossroads”) and beyond, bringing to light the spirit and pure energy and audacity of the music of their fathers. Tickets range from $29-$69.

BREAK! The Urban Funk Spectacular! on Sunday, February 16 at 3:00pm. BREAK! The Urban Funk Spectacular! celebrates Hip Hop dancing. Featuring a cast of supremely talented artists from the world of “B-Boying,” “Locking,” “Electric Boogaloo” or “Popping,” Power Tumbling, as well as DJ-ing and Bucket Drumming, BREAK pays tribute to this urban American art form. Tickets range from $29-$59.

The Gazillion Bubble Show on Saturday, February 22 with performances at 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 5:00pm. Prepare to be amazed by the world-famous Gazillion Bubble Show! This mind-blowing show combines the beauty of bubble artistry, the wonders of soapy science, and interactive fun for the whole family. With mesmerizing bubble magic, immersive lights and lasers and high-energy music, it's a spellbinding experience for all ages. Don't miss the spectacular celebration of bubbles, science, and family fun at the Gazillion Bubble Show! Tickets range from $25-$50.

Matt Nathanson: King of (un)simple Tour on Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00pm.  With special guest Rachael Yamagata. Over his almost 30 year career, Matt Nathanson has evolved into one of the most applauded songwriters and engaging performers on the music scene today. His sixth studio album, Some Mad Hope, yielded his breakthrough multi-platinum hit “Come on Get Higher.”  He followed up with Modern Love, a critically acclaimed album (PopMatters called it “the closest a pop album comes to perfection this year”) that garnered Nathanson two RIAA Gold Certified singles, “Faster” & “Run (featuring Sugarland)”. His 2013 release, Last of The Great Pretenders, debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 while hitting #1 on iTunes’ Alternative Albums chart. His most recent album, Sings His Sad Heart spawned the hit single “Used To Be” which was a chart climber – hitting top 20 at Adult Top 40.  Throughout his career, Nathanson has been known to cover songs and artists that inspire him. He covered Def Leppard's iconic Pyromania as Pyromattia and U2's Achtung Baby as Achtung Matty. His last record was 2022's Boston Accent. Tickets range from $49-$99.

Bilal on Thursday, February 27 at 7:30pm. Singer-songwriter Bilal blends jazz, afro-futurism, classic soul, alternative R&B, rock, and even classical in his vocals and music. Known for his wide vocal range, work across multiple genres and magnetic live performances, he’s been described by Earth, Wind and Fire’s Philip Bailey as the rare singer who uses his voice like an instrument. Bilal’s latest release, “Adjust Brightness,” was ranked #4 on Vulture’s Best Albums of 2024. Tickets range from $30-$50.

Dan Aubrey to give a talk on Joseph Bonaparte at Trenton City Museum

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The life and loves of noted area 19th century beauty Annette Savage will be the topic of a talk Saturday, February 9, 2025 at Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie. Titled "Le Jeu de l'Amour," the program, led by journalist and writer Dan Aubrey, will explore how Napoleon’s brother and former King of Spain, Joseph Bonaparte, and his American mistress, Annette Savage, found passion and pain in the Trenton and Bordentown region of New Jersey. The event runs from from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
