(LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Take a musical tour through time and tradition with Jackson Pines. The celebrated folk duo will appear in concert at the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Showtime is 2:30pm.
Singer-songwriter Joe Mackoviecki and acoustic bassist James Black will fill the air with a beautiful, unique blend of timeless regional folk tunes that emanated from the Pine Barrens alongside their original contemporary melodies.
The longtime friends from Jackson and 2023 New Jersey Folk Festival headliners won acclaim in the U.S. and U.K. for their blues-infused tales of hope, disappointment, hard realities and love. They’ve been honored at the Asbury Music Awards and Jersey Acoustic Music Awards.
Their 2024 release Pine Barrens Volume Two includes an 18th century ballad, prison songs of the 1800s, love songs and fiddle tunes of the Pine Barrens. More of their music can be heard and seen on the Jackson Pines website and YouTube. They’ve gained thousands of followers on Facebook.
