(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF), a non-profit organization enhancing excellence in education in the Morris School District for over 32 years, will hold auditions for its premier fundraiser, Morristown ONSTAGE, on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Morristown High School. A community staple, the event brings people of all ages together to celebrate and discover unique local talent all to benefit the Morris School District and support public education.
Morristown ONSTAGE will feature the best amateur talent from those who live, work, worship, receive talent training, or attend school in Morristown, Morris Township, and Morris Plains as well as alumni of Morristown High School. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.
Auditions will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Morristown High School. Groups must have at least one member who meets the eligibility requirements to qualify to audition. Anyone interested in auditioning must register at the event’s website by December 2, 2024. Contestants are encouraged to register early to avoid the $20 fee for those who register after November 10.
Finalists will compete for one of two 1st place $1,000 cash prizes – one for contestants ages 19 and over and one for contestants ages 18 and under. Additionally, a $500 “Audience Choice” Winner, and a $250 Rossoff Rising Star Award for talent training.
“We are excited to officially open audition registration for the 2025 Morristown ONSTAGE show,” said Chris Volinsky, co-chair of the Morristown ONSTAGE committee and current Morris Educational Foundation Board of Trustee. “Each year we eagerly await to see what undiscovered talent will take the stage during auditions as Morristown is home to so many exceptional performers. As one of the area’s anticipated and influential events, we encourage contestants of all ages and skills to participate in this unforgettable experience, while raising money for the Morris School District.”
Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center has once again signed on to be the event’s Headline Sponsor and a panel of distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition. Emmy award winner, Tara Bernie, a Morristown resident and owner/founder of TB Yoga House will return for her 11th year as host. Joining her as co-hosts this year will be Morristown High School students.

Morristown ONSTAGE was created to further the Morris Educational Foundation’s ability to distribute financial and other resources to and for the Morris School District for enrichment programs and other projects. Since the show’s inception, the event has raised over $1.6 million to benefit the Morris School District.
