NBPAC presents tributes to The Rat Pack and Linda Ronstadt on December 7th

originally published: 10/23/2024

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- On Saturday, December 7, 2024, the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) hosts two concerts that will take you back in time to experience legendary artists who have influenced generations and continue to inspire.

At 1:00pm, when Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. hit the stage, it was always a "swingin' affair"! Known as "The Rat Pack," these entertainers were the coolest cats ever to play Las Vegas… or anywhere! Now, three skilled New York actors are bringing the songs, laughs, and charisma of Frank, Dean, and Sammy back to life in "Swinging with THE RAT PACK!" They capture the look, sound, and irresistible charm of the original group. The show is spontaneous, full of ad-libs, and a must-see over and over again!

Classics like "Luck be a Lady," "That's Amore," "The Lady is a Tramp," and "Candy Man" will transport you. "Swinging with THE RAT PACK!" re-creates the magic of The Rat Pack with a special guest appearance from Marilyn Monroe. It's as close as you can get to hanging out in the front row at the Copa!

Then, at 8:00pm, experience the magic of Linda Ronstadt's legacy with The Ronstadt Revue: The Ultimate Celebration of Linda Ronstadt, featuring Gesenia. Gesenia embodies Ronstadt's spirit and has endorsements from three of Ronstadt's band members. The Ronstadt Revue covers every genre of Ronstadt's 40+ year career, performed in English and Spanish.

Enjoy beloved hits like "When Will I Be Loved?" "You're No Good", "Blue Bayou", "Perfidia", and "Desperado." Linda Ronstadt, an 11-time Grammy winner, has left an indelible mark on the music industry. Though she no longer performs, her legacy lives on through Gesenia and her band. This show is a must-see for any fan of Linda Ronstadt, promising a night filled with nostalgia and exceptional music.

John Beland, Ronstadt's former bandleader, praised Gesenia's performances, saying, "Every time they play, I'm catapulted back to 1970 on the stage with Linda. This is a fabulous collection of musicians and Gesenia makes the hair on my arms stand up and tingle when she sings. The Ronstadt Revue is the real deal. There are tribute bands and then there is this. Don't miss it!"

Tickets for both shows are available for purchase online or by calling 732-745 8000. The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center is located at 11 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
