Watercolor bookmarks by Jamie Jarka
Have you ever looked at the subtle, textured beauty of watercolor paintings and wished you could master the art? Well, your chance is here. Join Jersey Shore artist Jamie Jarka for “Intro to Watercolors” during November at any of three Ocean County Library branches (Brick, Lakewood, and Point Pleasant Borough.
In this program for adults and seniors, Jamie will provide step-by-step guidance to create your very own greeting cards and bookmarks.
She will be at the Brick Branch (301 Chambers Bridge Road) on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 2:00pm; the Lakewood Branch (301 Lexington Avenue) on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00am; and the Point Pleasant Borough Branch (834 Beaver Dam Road) on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:30pm.

A public school art teacher for more than 20 years, Jamie is also the driving force behind Lil Monsters Art, where paint parties, family nights and team-building workshops are central to a mission of accessible, enjoyable and inspiring experiences in art. She was the subject of a 2019 article in The SandPaper.
Jamie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University) after studying at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and gaining experience in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
