(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre’s Stage Production Boot Camp, sponsored by FirstEnergy Foundation, is an immersive course where students receive real world hands-on experience in production and the entertainment industry. They will touch on the theory behind lighting, sound, rigging while learning on the actual gear used during performances.
Throughout the course, which consists of 6 classes over 6 weeks, students will not only learn how to properly and safely tune mics, light artists, wrap cable and rig, they will also be invited to two live performances where they can shadow a “show day” for a national act. It is truly a great experience for someone aspiring to work in production and entertainment.
The Boot Camp is aimed at providing hands-on experience in stage production and will be held every Wednesday from October 2 through November 6, 2024 from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
The Stage Production Boot Camp costs $200 and tickets may be reserved online. The Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, New Jersey.
