(WARETOWN, NJ) -- View nature's serenity and majesty as captured by local artist Ray Haworth. The Ocean County Library Waretown Branch is pleased to present his exhibit, "Beaches, Boats and Blossoms," in the Meeting Room throughout the months of August and September.
Mr. Haworth has devoted more than 10 years to the medium of oils, following four decades dedicated to pencil and watercolors. He displays a wide array of subjects and styles.
“The goal,” he has said, “is to establish a sense of place, a special mood or just a beautiful setting.”
“I prefer working on a very dry, textured surface in an alla-pria manner,” he explained. “The only medium I use is a small amount of mineral spirits; no oils nor extenders. My pallet is composed of a warm and cool of each primary, plus a few earth tones.”
“Beaches, Boats and Blossoms” is free and open to the public during normal Branch operating hours. For more information, stop by the OCL Waretown Branch, 112 Main Street, call (609) 693-5133 or visit https://theoceancountylibrary.org/events.
