(VOORHEES, NJ) -- Voorhees Theatre Company presents Legally Blonde, The Musical from August 8-10, 2024. A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, the musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances- this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!
Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
Performances take place Thursday, August 8th at 7:30pm; Friday, August 9th at 7:30pm; and Saturday, August 10th at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. All performances are held at the Raymond J. Brosel Jr. Performing Arts Center (1000 Holly Oak Road) in Voorhees, New Jersey.
In honor of their friends Snoopy, Bruiser, and Rufus they will be collecting new and used items at each performance for donation to Animal Welfare Association including pet supplies, pet foods, office supplies, and many other items.
Voorhees Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) community theatre organization. VTC’s mission is to offer performance and educational opportunities to artists on stage and behind the scenes and to bring audiences professional-caliber performances within and beyond the walls of the theatre. Our organization is well known for educating and nurturing young performers and for offering performance and theatre opportunities to local artists of all ages. VTC offers a safe harbor to all participants who want to explore the arts.
Voorhees Theatre Company is an outgrowth of the recreational theatre program that began as part of the Voorhees Community Education and Recreation (CER) Department of the Voorhees Township Board of Education more than 20 years ago.
Funding has been made available by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State through the Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission at Camden County College, the designated arts agency of Camden County.
