(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents summer events in August with a mix of comedy, pop and a little bit of grunge! Shows include tributes to the Bee Gees, Whitney Houston, Pearl Jam & Chris Cornell, Fleetwood Mac, and Frank Zappa plus concerts by Air Supply and Jake Wildhorn; comedians Jim Breuer and Pete Davidson; free movies and more!

Thursday, August 1 at 8:00pm - The New York Bee Gees with Special Guest Donna Summer TributeEnjoy all of your favorite Bee Gees hits, from classic 70’s disco chart toppers like “Stayin’ Alive” and “Night Fever” to earlier works such as “To Love Somebody,” “I’ve Got To Get A Message To You” and “Massachusetts.” Also in the show is a special tribute to legendary disco diva Donna Summer! Tickets range from $29-$69.

Tuesday, August 6 at 7:30pm - The Greatest Love of All, a Tribute to Whitney Houston starring Belinda DavidsWhitney Houston’s musical legacy is brought to life in this critically acclaimed tribute show featuring the breathtaking vocals of Belinda Davids. This beautifully crafted tribute will fill you with joy, nostalgia and wonderment as it takes you on a heartfelt journey through Houston’s greatest hits such as “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “How Will I Know,” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All” and many more. Not associated with the estate of Whitney Houston. Tickets range from $39-$79.

Thursday, August 8 at 8:00pm - Air Supply. Air Supply performs from among their classic romantic hits, which include “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “One That You Love,” “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” and “Every Woman in the World.” Tickets range from $69-$109. Limited tickets remain.

Friday, August 9 at 8:00pm - Jim Breuer: Survival with Laughter Tour. Freewheeling comic storyteller Jim Breuer – who made the list of Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest Standups of All Time” – is hotter than ever, a global touring sensation and regular presence on radio and television. Tickets range from $39-$69. Limited tickets remain.

Wednesday, August 14 at 7:30pm - The Ledbetters with Superunknown: A Tribute to Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell. A double bill celebrating 1990s grunge favorites Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell. The Ledbetters are the ultimate Pearl Jam tribute band. Capturing an authentic recreation of Pearl Jam’s studio recordings and live shows, The Ledbetters will bring you right back to your flannel-wearing days. Superunknown is the premier tribute band for the music of Chris Cornell, playing the music of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Tickets range from $39-$59.

Thursday, August 15 at 8:00pm - Tusk, the World’s #1 Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Tusk is the top Fleetwood Mac tribute band in the world. Using no fancy gimmicks, Tusk performs the music of Fleetwood Mac to perfection with note-by-note renditions of your favorite hits such as “Don’t Stop,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Dreams” and “The Chain.” Tickets range from $39-$59. Friday, August 16 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm - Pete Davidson Live. Celebrated stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer and former SNL star Pete Davidson performs an evening of comedy. Mature content, language. Adults only. Tickets range from $59-$89. Limited tickets remain for the 7:00pm performance.

Thursday, August 22 at 7:30pm - Dweezil Zappa: Rox(Postroph)y Tour. Renowned guitarist Dweezil Zappa celebrates two of his father Frank Zappa’s landmark albums, Roxy & Elsewhere and Apostrophe. The tour commemorates the 50th Anniversary of both albums and Dweezil has curated a setlist highlighting fan-favorite tracks from each record, replete with unique hybrid arrangements. Tickets range from $59-$99.

Wednesday, August 21 at 6:00pm - Jake Wildhorn at Vail Mansion Park. Singer/Songwriter Jake Wildhorn is a skilled writer, producer and performer, showcasing the talents he’s inherited from his mother, well-known Broadway singer, Linda Eder, and his father, composer Frank Wildhorn. His music is a mix of alternative blues rock and acoustic rock inspired by both modern and classic artists such as Don Henley, Rob Thomas, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran.

Tuesday, August 13 at 10:30am - Wish. Young Asha makes a wish only to find herself on a magical adventure in which she must summon the courage to defeat a ruthless ruler with designs on destroying her community. Featuring the voices of Ariana DeBose and Evan Peters. Rated PG.

Tuesday, August 13 at 7:00pm - Bob Marley: One Love. This musical biopic of Bob Marley delves deep into the reggae superstar’s legacy and cultural influence while presenting the captivating journey of the man behind the music. PG-13

MPAC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey. The 2024-2025 season is made possible, in part, by a grant the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as support received from the F.M. Kirby Foundation, The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and numerous corporations, foundations and individuals. The 2025 honorees are: Smokey Robinson, John Fogerty, Emmylou Harris, Tom Morello, and Joe Ely. The event begins at 8:30pm.
