originally published: 06/24/2024

(LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- "Ticket to the Moon" is a spectacular multimedia tribute show dedicated to the music and legacy of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). Known for their innovative blend of rock, pop, and classical elements, ELO achieved significant success in the 1970s and 1980s with their unique sound and memorable hits. "Ticket to the Moon" comes to the Strand Center for the Arts on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 8:00pm.

The tribute show aims to recreate the magical experience of an ELO concert, bringing together talented musicians, vocalists, and visual effects to pay homage to the iconic band. Through a combination of live performances, multimedia projections, and immersive stage production, "Ticket to the Moon" transports the audience back to the golden age of ELO's music.

The show features faithful renditions of ELO's greatest hits, such as "Mr. Blue Sky," "Don't Bring Me Down," "Livin' Thing," "Telephone Line," and of course, "Ticket to the Moon." The musicians and vocalists capture the essence of ELO's sound, faithfully reproducing the intricate arrangements and lush harmonies that made the band so beloved.

In addition to the musical performances, the multimedia aspect of the tribute adds another layer of immersion to the experience. Elaborate light displays, video projections, and stage effects synchronize with the music, creating a visually stunning and captivating atmosphere. The aim is to transport the audience on a nostalgic journey, evoking the feelings and memories associated with ELO's timeless songs.

Tickets range from $25-$55 and are available for purchase online, at the Strand Box Office, or by calling or (732) 730-5925. The Strand Center for the Arts is located at 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. The show is appropriate for all ages.
