(NEWARK, NJ) -- Clinton Hill Community Action (CHCA) and NJPAC South Ward ArtsXChange present the South Ward Celebration Of Gospel, taking place on June 18, 2024, at Zion Hill Baptist Church (152 Osborne Terrace) in Newark from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This special event is a celebration of Gospel Music in honor of Black Music Month (June), showcasing the rich heritage and enduring legacy of Gospel music—from Spirituals to Praise and Worship Music.
The South Ward Celebration Of Gospel will not be a traditional concert but a captivating music and performance production that takes attendees on a journey through the evolution of Gospel music over the years. From soul-stirring Spirituals to uplifting Praise and Worship Music, this event promises to be an immersive and inspiring experience for all who attend.
They warmly invite churches and community members from across the South Ward and beyond to join us in this joyous celebration of faith, culture, and unity. Your presence and participation will enrich the event and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Gospel music we will showcase.
