Events at MPAC in June 2024

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in June has a great lineup of concerts including the one and only Paul Anka, The Australian Pink Floyd Show, comedy from Anthony Rodia, Chazz Palminteri in A Bronx Tale and much more. June also features the kick off of MPAC’s summer Arts in the Community free concert series.

The full schedule of free concerts and movies will be announced soon. The Arts in the Community Summer Free Concert Series is sponsored by ADP.

Here is a look at ticketed events at MPAC in June. Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is located at 100 South Street in Morristown, New Jersey.

Special Event: MPAC 10th Annual Spring Production - Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Friday, May 31 at 7:30pm; Saturday, June 1 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; Sunday, June 2 at 12:00pm (sensory friendly) and 5:30pm. Experience the romance and enchantment of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast! Based on the classic animated feature film, this timeless musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers! Manhattan Comedy Night on Friday, June 7 at 8:00pm. Enjoy some laughs with our popular stand-up series showcasing the rising stars of comedy. Mature content, language. Adults only. Tickets range from $25-$35.

Paul Anka – Seven Decades Tour on Saturday, June 8 at 8:00pm. One of the most successful singer/songwriters in music, with over 100 million albums sold, Paul Anka has the distinction of being the only artist in history to have a song on the Billboard charts during seven consecutive decades. This concert features his instantly recognizable hits from the last seven decades including “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Diana,” “My Way,” “Puppy Love” and “Lonely Boy,” among many others. Paul Anka is a force of nature and a consummate showman, commanding every audience and playing to standing ovations around the world backed by his all-star band! Tickets range from $79-$129.

Abducted by the 80s with Wang Chung, The Motels & Naked Eyes on Thursday, June 13 at 7:30pm. Wang Chung, The Motels and Naked Eyes have joined forces to transports audiences to the heart of the neon-soaked, synth-driven decade! Dance, sing along and relive the magic of the 80s, featuring mega-hits such as “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” “Dance Hall Days,” “Let’s Go,” “Only the Lonely,” “Suddenly Last Summer,” “Always Something There to Remind Me,” “Promises, Promises” and more! Tickets range from $39-$79.

Happy Together 2024 on Friday, June 14 at 7:30pm. An evening of hit after hit after hit that will have you heading home whistling the soundtrack of the 60s and 70s! Featuring The Turtles (“Happy Together”), Jay & The Americans (“Come a Little Bit Closer,” “This Magic Moment”), The Association (“Windy,” “Cherish My Love”), Badfinger (“Baby Blue,” “Come and Get It”, “Day After Day”), The Vogues (“Turn Around, Look at Me,” “Five O’ Clock World”), and The Cowsills (“The Rain The Park & Other Things”). Tickets range from $49-$89.  Limited tickets remain.

A Bronx Tale - A One Man Show starring Chazz Palminteri on Saturday, June 15 at 8:00pm. In 1988, Chazz Palminteri (The Usual Suspects) wrote a one-man show about a killing he saw in the Bronx when he was nine years old. It became a hit and the most sought after property since Rocky. This is the original one-man show that made him an in-demand character actor and served as the basis of the acclaimed movie and Broadway musical. Tickets range from $49-$89. Limited tickets remain.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:30pm. Selling over four million tickets worldwide and described by The Times as “The Gold Standard” and The Daily Mirror as “The Kings of the Genre,” The Australian Pink Floyd Show has been astonishing audiences worldwide for more than three decades, performing the music of Pink Floyd with note for note perfection. Always striving to reproduce the complete Pink Floyd experience, the show includes a stunning light and laser show, video animations, state-of-the-art, high resolution LED screen technology and other special effects. In true Pink Floyd fashion, there are several huge inflatables including a giant pig, and their own unique Pink Kangaroo. Tickets range from $49-$99.

Invincible: A Glorious Tribute to Michael Jackson on Friday, June 21 at 8:00pm. Invincible authentically captures the spirit and essence of experiencing a Michael Jackson performance,  featuring music from the early Jackson 5 days to the heights of his career as a solo performer. This multimedia spectacle features choreography by longtime Michael Jackson collaborator Lavelle Smith, Jr., and a cast of over a dozen musicians and dancers. Tickets range from $39-$79. Limited tickets remain.

Anthony Rodia: Totally Relatable Tour on Saturday, June 22 at 8:00pm. Back by popular demand! If you missed his sold-out February show, now you can catch one of today’s hottest comics in a special return engagement! Anthony Rodia’s comedy is refreshingly genuine, quick witted and totally relatable! A first-generation Italian American from Westchester, Rodia’s comedy pulls from his razor-sharp observations on marriage, parenthood, road rage, and everything else worthy of a social media rant. Tickets range from $39-$69.

MPAC Arts in the Community Free June Events

MPAC Music Student of the Month Recital on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:00pm at Vail Mansion Plaza. Students from Morris County schools honored as MPAC Music Students of the Month throughout this past season showcase their talents. Music Student of the Month sponsored by The Walter F. and Alice Gorham Foundation, Inc.

Joshua Van Ness on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:00pm at Vail Mansion Plaza. Singer songwriter Joshua Van Ness is both the working man's musician and a true indie spirit whose music echoes the classics from decades ago, yet is driven by a desire to stay ahead of the trends.

Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey. The 2023-2024 season is made possible, in part, by a grant the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as support received from the F.M. Kirby Foundation, The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and numerous corporations, foundations and individuals. Mayo Performing Arts Center was named 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres, and is ranked in the top 50 mid-sized performing arts centers by Pollstar Magazine.

Dan Aubrey to give a talk on Joseph Bonaparte at Trenton City Museum

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The life and loves of noted area 19th century beauty Annette Savage will be the topic of a talk Saturday, February 9, 2025 at Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie. Titled "Le Jeu de l'Amour," the program, led by journalist and writer Dan Aubrey, will explore how Napoleon’s brother and former King of Spain, Joseph Bonaparte, and his American mistress, Annette Savage, found passion and pain in the Trenton and Bordentown region of New Jersey. The event runs from from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Park System will hold its annual E. Murray Todd Half Marathon on Sunday, March 9, 2025. This 13.1-mile race takes runners through Lincroft, Holmdel and Colts Neck.

Exploring American Literature of the 1800s with Cape May Poet Laureate Sylvia Baer

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May's Poet Laureate Sylvia Baer hosts three 1.5-hour interactive online seminars via Zoom this March that delve into American literature of the Victorian age. "The Concord Gang" on Monday, March 10, 2025 highlights Emerson, Thoreau and Alcott. "The Amherst Gang" on Monday, March 17, 2025 features Emily Dickinson and Helen Hunt Jackson. "The Fear Gang" on Monday, March 24, 2025 delves into Hawthorne, Poe and Melville.

Steampunk Alchemy Fest presents the Clockwork Cupid Burlesque Cabaret

(NEW HOPE, PA) -- Steampunk is coming to New Hope and taking over Dharma Bums Bar with the Clockwork Cupid Burlesque Cabaret presented by Steampunk Alchemy Fest on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The event features Music by A Halo Called Fred; Burlesque by Holly Ween, Esmerelda May, and Jaeda; Sideshow by Lady Gypsy Professional Monstrosity; and Comedy by John Minus.
