(TENAFLY, NJ) — Jina Kwon presents "INTERACT": Children with Intellectual Disability at the Korean Community Center in Tenafly. This unique Collaborative Art Exhibition will run from April 22 to May 11, 2024.
The idea for "INTERACT" originated from Jina’s interest in exploring the creative ways children with Intellectual Disability communicate. The exhibition aims to examine the different perspectives and ideas exchanged during the collaboration between artists and children. This venue will allow these unique children to express themselves and communicate to a world that may not fully understand them.
Artistic Collaboration and Development - Through this collaboration, both artists and children have the opportunity to develop their imagination and enhance their artistic skills. The artworks created will reflect the unique communication styles of the children and the artists' interpretations, resulting in a diverse range of pieces.
A Special Relationship between Artists and Children - "INTERACT" emphasizes the beginning of a special relationship between Jina and the children involved in the project. The collaboration is as much about the journey of mutual inspiration as it is about the creation of artworks.
The Impact on Public Perception - The exhibition offers the public an opportunity to experience the world through new perspectives and ideas. By viewing the artworks, visitors can gain insights into the different ways of communication and the importance of understanding these special individuals.
The Korean Community Center (KCC) is located at 100 Grove Street in Tenafly, New Jersey. There will be an Opening Reception on April 26th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
