(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- The Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) has announced an exciting new partnership that will bring nationally and internationally touring Americana and contemporary folk musicians to the stage of JSAC's Palaia Theater beginning this Fall. JSAC is teaming up with Split Level Concerts, a long running concert series that has relocated from Union County to the Jersey Shore. The inaugural season for Split Level Concerts at JSAC will begin this October 2024 and will run through April of 2025. The entire concert line-up will be announced in mid-April.
Jeanne Power-Galli, JSAC Director of Events & Programs, stated, “I am so thrilled to partner with Mark Klemow, the founder of Split Level Concerts, to bring top-notch singer/songwriters from around the country to our community.”
The JSAC offers a wide variety of programming, including visual arts, wellness, dance, theater, and comedy. Power-Galli added, “An established concert series during the fall and winter months further enhances our programming. It is a true gift to the community that Mark is making this all happen on a volunteer basis.”
Split Level Concerts began as a house concert series in 2000 and grew to eventually present shows at the JCC of Central NJ in Scotch Plains and the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway. Over the years, Klemow curated more than 125 shows.
“My wife and I moved to Belmar two years ago and I hoped I would find a new home for Split Level Concerts. I’m beyond thrilled about this new partnership,” said Klemow. “Our mission has always been to present the music we love in an intimate setting at a reasonable cost. To be able to do so once again is a dream come true!”
