(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Be sure to catch author, journalist and social observer Fran Lebowitz outside of New York City and on the main stage of the Stockton University Performing Arts Center on Friday, April 12, 2024. The event begins at 7:30pm.
Lebowitz’s essays and interviews offer her acerbic views on current events and the media — as well as pet peeves, including tourists, baggage-claim areas, after-shave lotion, adults who roller skate, children who speak French, or anyone who is unduly tan.
The New York Times Book Review calls Lebowitz an "important humorist in the classic tradition." Purveyor of urban cool, Lebowitz is a cultural satirist whom many call the heir to Dorothy Parker.
The show will begin with Dean Marshall, the dean of Stockton’s School of Arts and Humanities and a professor of Literature, interviewing Lebowitz for 30 minutes. That will be followed by a 60-minute Q&A session with the audience and a book signing afterward.
Tickets are $45 for the general public; $43 for senior citizens; $40 for Stockton University alumni; $33 for Stockton staff and faculty; $23 for children (12 and under); and $10 for Stockton students.
