originally published: 02/28/2024

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- This month’s North Jersey Blues Society's Blues & Brews event features Bees Deluxe on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Montclair Brewery.  Bees Deluxe, a British/American blues band, have played with Ronnie Earl, Mike Zito, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Matt Schofield, Roomful of Blues, Walter Trout and David Maxwell and more. Showtime is 4:30pm.

Celebrating the music of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Albert Collins, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Cray, Tinsley Ellis, Freddie King and others, Bees Deluxe bends the blues genre with bold improvisation, fresh interpretations and a penchant for coloring outside the lines. Receiving positive reviews wherever they play from Maine to Florida – their repertoire showcases a catalog of addictive originals and reimagined covers, many on the air in the US and abroad.

This stop at The Montclair Brewery, part of The North Jersey Blues Society’s monthly programming, is part of the Bees Deluxe’s tri-state tour celebrating the release of their new all-original album Hallucinate.

The album has garnered rave reviews and is available on all major music platforms and will be for sale at the NJBS event.

Tickets are $10 and available for purchase online. Montclair Brewery is located at 101 Walnut Street in Montclair, New Jersey.

“The music, for me, has the same impact that Steely Dan did with their first couple of albums. They play very tight Blues that sounds as though they are jamming but this is very tight, and the playing is absolutely superb." — Andy Snipper, Music News

Bees Deluxe was founded by British guitarist Conrad Warre who cut is chops touring in Europe with Joe Jackson, The English Beat and the Specials. In the US, he was a fixture at the legendary CBGB’s in the 1980’s and came to Boston where he created Bees Deluxe to pay homage to the music that influenced his musical style. The band now includes: Carol Band on keys and harmonica, Jeff Lopez on bass and Paul Giovine on drums.
