New Jersey Theatre Alliance to hold 2024 Combined Auditions March 18-19

originally published: 02/21/2024

(HILLSIDE, NJ) -- New Jersey Theatre Alliance (NJTA), the service organization for the state and region's 43 professional theatres, will hold auditions in Enlow Recital Hall on the campus of Kean University in Hillside, NJ on Monday, March 18th from 10:00am-5:00pm for Equity performers, and Tuesday, March 19th from 10:00am-5:00pm for Non-Equity performers. This is a fantastic opportunity to be seen by multiple theatres at once. Representatives from Alliance member theatres will follow up with actors directly if they are interested in working with them.

Please note: It is anticipated that approximately half of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance member theaters will participate in these auditions. For a confirmed list of participating theatres, please check here. The list will be updated as new theatres confirm.

Small

'Small' Brings Big Energy to George Street Playhouse

When thinking about occupations kids say they want when they get older, a list comes to mind – doctor, superhero, firefighter, etc. But not many would find their passion at the horse racing track and say they want to become a jockey. In "Small," an autobiographical play written and performed by Robert "Bobby" Montano, the story follows Montano as he races and fulfills his dream on the horse racing tracks of Long Island, New York. It does not stop there, however. The 90-minute play is a story of love, loss and more as Montano grapples with some difficult life decisions.
