(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) presents its premier fundraiser, Morristown ONSTAGE, on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown. This event brings people of all ages together to celebrate and discover unique local talent. The 17th annual event will showcase 15 inspiring acts with diverse performances spanning rock, R&B, theater, and-up comedy, pop, jazz and more, all to benefit the Morris School District. Doors open at 6:30pm, showtime is 7:00pm.
“We are thrilled to announce Morristown ONSTAGE is returning to the MPAC stage on February 29”, said Katherine Vizzini, the Morris Educational Foundation’s Board Chair. “This special event is a Morristown tradition and a very fun night out, as we come together to cheer on our community’s great talent. Morristown ONSTAGE is the MEF’s largest fundraiser with proceeds benefitting our mission and the Morris School District. We encourage attendees to buy a ticket to the show to support these finalists and to help us Imagine the Possibilities.”
As in years past, the finalists will compete for one of two 1st place $1,000 cash prizes – one for contestants ages 19 and over and one for contestants ages 18 and under. Additionally, $500 will be awarded to the “Audience Choice” Winner, which is a “text-to-vote” at the end of the show, and a $250 Rossoff Rising Star Award for talent training chosen by the Morristown ONSTAGE Steering Committee.
Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center has once again signed on to be the event’s Headline Sponsor and a panel of distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition. Emmy Award winner, Tara Bernie, a Morristown resident and owner/founder of TB Yoga House will return for her 10th year as host. Joining her as co-hosts this year will be students from Morristown High School’s Broadcasting Department.
