Ocean County Library Toms River Branch to Present Guild Theatreworks in "Belles"

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch is pleased to present the Guild Theatreworks production of Mark Dunn's bittersweet dramatic comedy Belles in Mancini Hall on Wednesday, February 21. Showtime is 6:30pm. Considered Dunn's most popular play, Belles features six sisters who try bridge the distance between them via telephone through the course of a weekend and in the process come to terms with their fragmented family history.

Appearing will be Corey Crawford, Jeri Georger, Diane Hand, Kelly Lindstrom, Gail Sheehan, Janet Lynn Spahr, and Michele Vittorioso. The director is Janet Lynn Spahr.

The nonprofit troupe, which began as the Brick Community Players, is in its 34th year of performing musicals, dramas, comedies, and improvisations. The group operates in the Robert Anstett Cultural Arts Center in Brick and maintains an active Facebook following.

Belles is sponsored by the Friends of the Ocean County Library – Toms River. The Friends are volunteers who support the Library through advocacy, fundraising, and programs. New Jersey Performing Arts High School Makes History

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Vocational Technical School's (OCVTS) Grunin Performing Arts Academy (GPAA) is thrilled to announce that its fall drama production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has been selected to perform at the International Thespian Festival, the world's largest celebration of high school theatre. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater will present Foibles and Fables: Songs of Magic and Memory!, a concert of original and Broadway songs performed by the Princeton Playhouse Ensembles led by Solon Snider Sway and featuring guest Broadway and Grammy performers and musicians. Directed by faculty member Aaron Landsman and cosponsored by the Department of Music, the concert is on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center, 91 University Place on the Princeton campus. Showtime is 7:00pm.
