Players Guild of Leonia presents "Deathtrap" (LEONIA, NJ) -- Players Guild of Leonia, New Jersey's oldest continuing community theater group (since 1919), presents their first show of 2024 – the comedy thriller Deathtrap weekends from January 19 to February 4, 2024. With plot twists aplenty, Deathtrap tells the story of a has-been playwright, Sidney Bruhl, who is desperate to regain his prestige, and his young protégé, Clifford Anderson, who unwittingly offers an intriguing solution. Blake Stadnik and Matt Monaco to star in "RIFT, or White Lies" at Luna Stage (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Blake Stadnik (This Is Us) and Matt Monaco (Public Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre) will star in the World Premiere of RIFT, or White Lies at Luna Stage. Stadnik and Monaco play estranged siblings in this World Premiere by Gabriel Jason Dean commissioned by Luna Stage, directed by Ari Laura Kreith, which runs February 8 to March 3, 2024.
Playwright Deepa Purohit Awarded 2024 Hermitage Greenfield Prize (Sarasota County, FL) -- The Hermitage Artist Retreat, in collaboration with the Philadelphia-based Greenfield Foundation, has selected playwright Deepa Purohit as the winner of the 2024 Hermitage Greenfield Prize (HGP). Purohit is an award-winning playwright who made her Off-Broadway debut in the Atlantic Theater Company's 2022-23 season with the world premiere of her play Elyria (2023 Drama League Award Nominee for Outstanding Production of a Play, 2017 NEA Commission, and 2019 Jerome Foundation support with Ma-Yi Theater Company).
Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "Misery" (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents Misery by William Goldman, based on the novel by Stephen King. Centenary Stage Company's Winter Thaw Festival presents Reverie Road (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Winter Thaw Festival of concerts continues with a performance by Reverie Road on Saturday, January 20 at 8:00pm. The concert will take place at CSC's Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center. The band will share their fresh, eclectic celtic combination, featuring fiddler Winifred Horan and accordionist John Williams (founding Solas members) alongside former Gaelic Storm fiddler, Katie Grennan and Jazz and Raga pianist Utsav Lal (Young Steinway Artist). This combination is made up of four of today's leading traditional folk artists who have performed for international audiences from studios to stages over the last three decades.
Brian K & The Parkway releases "Wind The Clock" (WASHINGTON, DC) -- Brian K. Pagels and Stephen Russ, the DC-area duo that make up Brian K & The Parkway, released their debut single "Wind The Clock" on January 12, 2024. The song, which opens with a lilting guitar riff and drum groove, is a commentary on tribalism and the extreme black and white thinking that has materialized in society today. Parkway Central Library of Philadelphia presents screening of "Broken Dreams: The Story of James E. Dupree" (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- For Black History Month the Parkway Central Library of Philadelphia at 1901 Vine St is hosting a free documentary film screening of "Broken Dreams: The Story of James E. Dupree" on February 3rd, 2024 at 2:00pm. The screening will be followed by an insightful conversation between Philadelphia artist James E. Dupree, his former assistant Abigail Henry, and one of the directors Tyrone Brown. The documentary highlights artist Dupree's eminent domain battle against the city of Philadelphia from 2012 to 2014.

Hall embarked on an extensive search for a food truck, courtesy of funding from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. The Passaic-based Community Action Agency aimed to procure a food truck to deliver meals directly to individuals facing food insecurity across Passaic County.
