Bergen County's Winter Wonderland Opens This Weekend

(PARAMUS, NJ) -- Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners are excited to announce that Bergen County's Winter Wonderland opens this Friday, November 24, 2023.

Back for its 8th season, Winter Wonderland attracts over 30,000 visitors each year and promotes year-round access to the Bergen County Parks System with outdoor ice skating, games, a beer and wine garden, ice bumper cars, and, new to this year, weekly Bergen County-based live entertainment. From the giant 30-foot centerpiece Christmas Tree to the festive decorations throughout, Winter Wonderland has become a cherished holiday tradition, bringing together our 70 communities here in Bergen County.

Be among the first to ice skate on the largest outdoor rink in Bergen County by joining them for Winter Wonderland’s kickoff event on Saturday, November 25!

Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland runs from November 24 through January 1. The hours of operation are Fridays, 4:00pm–9:00pm; Saturdays, 11:00am–9:00pm; and Sundays, 11:00am–7:00pm. Monday and Wednesday, the ice rink will be open for skating from 3:00pm–9:00pm. Winter Wonderland will have adjusted hours on Christmas Eve (12/24) and New Year’s Eve (12/31) and operate 11:00am–6:00pm. From December 26–January 1, Winter Wonderland will operate 11:00am–9:00pm. Winter Wonderland will be closed on Christmas (12/25).

Prices: All Access (admission, skating, and one carousel ticket): $20 + online service fee; Seniors, Veterans, & Active Military: $10 + online service fee; General admission: $10 + online service fee; Seniors, Veterans, & Active Military: $5 + online service fee; Age 3 & under: FREE. Additional skating sessions: $10 + online service fee; Carousel ticket: $2; Train ticket (only available 11am-3pm on Saturday and Sunday): $2.

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The life and loves of noted area 19th century beauty Annette Savage will be the topic of a talk Saturday, February 9, 2025 at Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie. Titled "Le Jeu de l'Amour," the program, led by journalist and writer Dan Aubrey, will explore how Napoleon’s brother and former King of Spain, Joseph Bonaparte, and his American mistress, Annette Savage, found passion and pain in the Trenton and Bordentown region of New Jersey. The event runs from from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
