RVCC presents Annual Holiday Art Show and Sale

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present its annual Holiday Art Show and Sale, December 4-8, 2023, in the Art Gallery (lower level, College Center) at the College’s Branchburg campus. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The exhibition and sale will feature a varied display of work created by RVCC students, instructors, and several alumni. The ceramic work for sale ranges from low-fire smoked and Raku vessels to high-fired functional and sculptural pieces in porcelain and stoneware. Other show highlights include artist greeting cards, handmade sterling silver jewelry, and original drawings and paintings. The Holiday Art Show and Sale offers a great opportunity for members of the public and the College community to support local artisans this holiday season.

Gallery hours for the sale are as follows: Monday through Thursday, December 4-7, noon-8:00pm; Friday, December 8, noon-6:00pm. Purchases may be made by cash or personal checks only.

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, New Jersey.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- On Wednesday, January 29th, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy hosted a reception to celebrate the Rainbow Thursdays: Artists 2025 art exhibit which features pieces created during free art classes. Rainbow Thursdays Artists classes are provided by the Hudson County Local Arts Grant Program (LAP) and are administered by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs /Tourism Development, CDBG/City of Bayonne, and the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust. This art exhibit is open to the public until February 7th and is located in the Historic Brennan Courthouse Rotunda.
