2022 Indie Street Film Festival Award Winners

originally published: 09/14/2022

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Indie Street Film Festival took place in Red Bank from September 7-9, 2022. The festival is a regional film and arts festival that combines its curated film selections with connective community events in order to celebrate human creativity and storytelling. ISFF is searching for films that voice high impact human stories from across all genres.

The festival hand picks the most resourceful and innovative filmmakers from the US and across the globe to screen and connect with the engaged arts community of Red Bank and the Northeast. In the last 6 years, the festival has touted films that have also been official selections/nominees and award winners at Sundance, Slamdance, SXSW, Spirit Awards, and the Oscars.

Indie Street Film Festival was born from a cooperative distribution platform, so focuses on education and nurturing of our filmmakers through the ever-evolving world of technology, distribution, and audience engagement, regardless of budget size and in spite of restrictive funding. Throughout the 5 day interactive festival, both filmmakers and attendees enjoy panel discussions, live art, music, education and networking events sponsored by local breweries and restaurants that provide artisanal food and drink for festival goers.

The Narrative Jury included Kelly Broad (Executive Producer, HARBOR), Anita Raswant (Associate Programmer, Nantucket Film Festival), and Tim Molloy (Editor in Chief, Moviemaker Magazine). The Documentary Jury featured documentary filmmaking team Matthew Saleh and Rose Tucker (BARBECUE) and Ruth Somalo (Senior Programmer, DOC NYC).

The award-winning filmmakers do not only go home with a hand-made ‘Franklin’ trophy, created by One Million Roses, but jury award winners will also take home $1,000 in cash for features and $300 for short films to aid them in their distribution efforts, and select winners will receive a one-on-one consultation discovery meeting with Sony Pictures Classics president, Tom Bernard.
