Thundermother to Support Scorpions at Borgata Show

originally published: 06/22/2022

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Sweden’s all-female heavy rock band Thundermother will open for the Scorpions on September 5 at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. Showtime is 8:00pm. The band is touring in support of their album "Black and Gold " which comes out August 19, 2022.

With four studio albums already out, and countless, critically acclaimed live shows under their belt – the latter incidentally also during the pandemic -- Thundermother has proven its outstanding artistic potential many times over. Their upcoming record Black And Gold has these exceptionally talented musicians channeling their extraordinary abilities with more conviction than ever before. This album raises the bar.

"Watch Out" delivers the adrenaline-fuelled, high voltage, filthy, rock ‘n’ roll the band is known for. The track features their hallmark infectious party rock, laced with irresistible feel-good appeal. Guitarist Filippa Nässil says ”We are stoked to present our first single 'Watch Out' from our upcoming album Black And Gold. The song is about this moment in our career. It's about rising up, being powerful women working as a team, and taking charge. We are so proud of these songs, and we hope our music will inspire many people. Don’t let anybody mess with your dreams.”

Forming in 1965 and having sold over 100 million records, the Scorpions have fan favorite hits like "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "No One Like You."  Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal, glam metal, and soft rock. The Scorpions are one of the most iconic rock bands of all time and the most successful rock band in Continental Europe.

Tickets are available for purchase online. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is located at One Borgata Way in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
