A New Musical Adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" to Get Private Reading


(NEW YORK, NY) -- A private 29-hour reading of a new musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby, written by the Tony Award-nominated songwriting duo of Nathan Tysen and Jason Howland (Paradise Square), with book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones) and directed by Mark Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 20 in New York City.

17th annual Sourland Mountain Fest To Take Place In July


(RINGOES, NJ) -- The 17th Annual Sourland Mountain Fest Presented by Unionville Vineyards and benefitting the Sourland Conservancy, returns on Saturday, July 23nd from 3:00pm – 8:30pm, rain or shine, at the beautiful Unionville Vineyards in East Amwell Township, NJ.  Attendees will enjoy live music, local food, craft beer, wine and spirits, as well as a variety of local artisans, businesses and educational organizations, all while taking in the bucolic views of the Sourland mountain region.  The festival will have performances by The Outcrops, James Popik and Supernova, Rainbow Fresh, and Water Street.  Tickets are limited to the first 1,000 sold.
New Jersey Symphony announces chamber concerts at The Newark Museum of Art


(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony will present four chamber music concerts in The Newark Museum of Art’s Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden in July and August, in partnership with the Museum. The concerts are part of the NMOA Summer Series. Resident Artistic Catalyst Daniel Bernard Roumain curates a pair of chamber music programs; Principal Bassoon Robert Wagner and Principal Bass Ha Young Jung each curate an evening of music in the garden.
Tab Benoit To Play Show in North Cape May


(NORTH CAPE MAY, NJ) --  Tab Benoit, respected Louisiana-based blues guitarist-vocalist and storyteller extraordinaire, has launched an ambitious 2022 Spring-Summer National Tour, with a local performance during the Exit Zero Ferry Park in North Cape May on Sunday, May 29 at 6:00pm. He will also be performing at Michael Arnone's Crawfish Festival in August on Saturday, June 4th.

Opening Weekend of Princeton Festival Features Storm Large and Comedic Operas by Derrick Wang and Mozart


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Versatile chanteuse Storm Large opens the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO)’s all-new Princeton Festival on Friday, June 10 at 7:30pm. She sings the dual Anna role in Kurt Weill’s The Seven Deadly Sins in a concert performance of the work with the PSO. On Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at 7:00pm, the Festival continues with the opening performances of the comedic, fully staged opera double bill consisting of Derrick Wang’s Scalia/Ginsburg and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Impresario. All three vocal works take place under a massive, clear-span performance tent on the grounds of Morven Museum & Garden, and are sung in English with English titles.
Freaky Mutant Weirdo Variety Show presents Steampunk Bands on June 4th


(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Some of the top steampunk bands in the Northeast will converge on Saturday, June 4th at Vasa Park in Hackettstown for the Freaky Mutant Weirdo Variety Show, a unique, family-friendly geek culture festival. Attendees can look forward to live entertainment, cosplay, artisan vendors, educational presentations, and the unique steampunk competition known as teapot racing.

The Arts Council of Princeton presents "Interwoven Stories: The Final Chapter"


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) announces that Interwoven Stories: The Final Chapter, the popular community stitching project created by artist/activist Diana Weymar (Princeton University ‘91), has gone national and will return to their Taplin Gallery from June 4 through July 2. The exhibition of more than 400 embroidery pieces, stitched by participants from around the country and right here in Princeton, opens Saturday, June 4 from 3:00pm-6:00pm and is free and open to all.
