Skylark Fine Diner & Lounge is Latest Live Music & Entertainment Hub

originally published: 04/22/2022

(EDISON, NJ) -- Skylark Fine Diner & Lounge in Edison is the latest live music and entertainment hub to check out.  After making headlines a second time for hosting another episode of the Food Network show, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” this one-of-a-kind spot is kicking it up yet another notch with live music shows and events presented by Stage Stars Productions.

Last month Stage Stars presented a sold out family game night, featuring the classic board game, Clue. Families attended for the low price of ten dollars to take part in a live, interactive theatrical experience based on the Clue board game. Food and beverages could be ordered during the elaborate dinner theater-meets-family game night, while families met with and questioned zany characters from the famed murder mystery. Participants even received a take-home game board and game pieces.

Stage Stars also presented a rollicking St. Patrick’s Day party. The night's rock and roll event featured a full show with a live five-piece band, dancers, flow artists, giveaways and drink specials. Tickets to the event were only twenty dollars, attendees danced the night away and couldn’t wait for the next live music and dance party.

With the addition of Stage Stars Productions events, The Skylark has something for everyone, whether you’re going out for date night, family night, or a night with friends, the calendar continues to fill up with excitement. Hand selected top-tier talent storms the stage on Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00pm-10:00pm with performances by billboard chart-topping songwriters and vocalists and Broadway orchestra musicians, and events featuring members of the late, great Meatloaf’s band.   Skylark Lounge featured artists for May-June 2022 include Ray Andersen, Lisa Bouchelle, Gillian Caruso, Tommy Grasso, Evalve Jazz, Don Lee, Ralph Notaro, and Joshua Van Ness.

Once a month, Stage Stars will present their Flashback Friday Show, which is an immersive performance experience, spanning 60s-80s rock and roll tunes with a five-piece band, dancers, flow artists, giveaways and more.

Also, everyone has a chance to step into the spotlight when Stage Stars hosts open mics and karaoke nights. This monthly showcase lets kids and families get in on the fun.

“I’m so excited to bring these special events to my hometown,” says Jamie Marie Hannigan, owner/director of Stage Stars Productions. “I have been coming to the Skylark since it opened and I can’t wait to expand its reach even further with live, interactive theater and music experiences! My colleagues and I have performed just about everywhere in the tri-state area and beyond and love to leave audiences wanting more. It’s great for the talent too. Where else can you perform, get a full menu and drinks and know you’ll be taken care of. My company works with the venue to provide our talent what they need. I mean, just to be able to eat a meal late at night after a performance is incredible! We should just curl up in a booth and sleep until breakfast! Why leave at all,” Hannigan jokes.

Artists and musicians now have a place in Edison they can call a second home. This is a fresh and unique hang-out/music hub and performance space where the vibes truly lend themselves to the arts. Hosted by a production company that keeps the artist in mind, providing an elite and exclusive platform and professional stage. The focus is on creativity, expression and good times. There really isn’t anywhere like it.
