Langosta Lounge to Feature Jackson Pines and Cranston Dean Band Every Thursday in May

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- This May, Langosta Lounge in Asbury Park will play host to a month long residency featuring New Jersey bands Jackson Pines and the Cranston Dean Band on Thursday nights at 8:00pm. Two of NJ's most critically acclaimed and hard working independent singer-songwriters will be playing different sets each week highlighting music from their former albums as well as new music they're working on and releasing later this year.

Each week Jackson Pines and CDB will take turns on who opens and who headlines, leading to different lineups featuring friends and guests from around the Asbury and NJ scenes. And since Cranston plays drums in Jackson Pines, you can expect a lot of cross band features and collaboration.

Performance take place each Thursday in May - May 5th, May 12th, May 19th, and May 26th.  There is no cover, but tips are suggested to help pay the musicians.

Billboard magazine on Jackson Pines: "...like a mash-up of James Taylor and Tom Petty -- with serious focus on acoustic guitar [...] Jackson Pines already have a collection of music that presents a unique lyrical take on life, bringing a rustic flair to the world of indie-folk/acoustic music [...] they've only just begun."

NJ.com said this about Cranston Dean: "Multi-instrumentalist Cranston Dean [and his] killer blend of rock, blues, funk and folk may be my favorite local discovery this year — he and his band’s new record [...] is a great, loose stroll through bright piano, smart guitars [...] behind Dean’s gravelly vocal delivery."
