VIDEO: Something from a Dream - "The Bridges of Madison County" Makes Beautiful Music at Axelrod PAC

Get ready for a night of romance and soaring ballads. The Bridges of Madison County, a musical about lovers who meet at an unexpected time in their lives, is now playing at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. Join Jesse and Dave as they talk with the stars lighting up this moving show.

Remaining performances include March 18 at 7:00pm, March 19 (2:00pm and 8:00pm), March 20 at 3:00pm, March 23 at 2:00pm, March 24 at 2:00pm, March 25 at 7:00pm, March 26 (2:00pm and 8:00pm), and March 27 at 3:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online.

The show features two-time Tony nominee Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!, Finian’s Rainbow) and film and TV star Aaron Lazar (Fox’s Filthy Rich and the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music) to star as Francesca Johnson and Robert Kincaid.  The production is directed by one of its original stars, Hunter Foster.

Players Guild of Leonia presents "The Normal Heart"

(LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia presents The Normal Heart by Larry Kramer weekends from March 21 through April 6, 2025. Larry Kramer's largely autobiographical play depicts the rise of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New York City from 1981–1984. The production is directed by Claudia MacDermott.

Premiere Stages at Kean University Announces 2025 Bauer Boucher Playwriting Award Winners

(UNION, NJ) -- Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has named Kean University student Tyler Sautner (Class of '25) and alumna Megan Tobias (Class of '19) as the winners of the 2025 Bauer Boucher Playwriting Awards, named for longtime donors W. John Bauer and Nancy Boucher. Both winners received a cash prize and a one-day developmental reading of their plays with a professional cast and director.
