(MADISON, NJ) -- When three mysterious strangers confront a noble general on a barren heath, the fate of a nation is changed forever. Ambition, power, and madness drive Shakespeare's thrilling masterpiece, Macbeth, appearing this fall on the Main Stage of the acclaimed Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) for the first time in two decades. The strictly limited run plays at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University from October 16 through November 17, 2024.

John Scofield Trio to Mix Jazz-Rock and Original Compositions at the Newton Theatre

In October 2023, guitarist John Scofield released an album on the ECM label called Uncle John's Band. The two-CD recording mixed the Grateful Dead title track, Bob Dylan's "Tambourine Man", Neil Young's "Old Man", the Miles Davis/Bud Powell jazz standard "Budo", and "Somewhere", written by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim for West Side Story, with several Scofield originals.
State Theatre New Jersey presents Classical Season Celebration featuring Enriqueta Somarriba on October 17th
