South Camden Theatre Company presents "Alabama Story"

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents the New Jersey and Regional premiere of Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones, weekends from September 15 through October 1, 2023. This is a play based on a true story about book banning, a librarian, a state senator, and black and white bunnies. The production is directed by Connie Norwood.

Vivid Stage announces 2023-24 Season

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage has announced their 2023-24 season. The company will present three Mainstage productions, three Flip Side Improv Shows, a series of Meet The Artist: New Play Readings in May, and a month of the Summer Solos Reading Series in July. The season kicks off in October with a production of Grief at High Tide by Richard Willett.

Have you read or seen any of the Robinson Crusoe stories? The Tom Hanks movie Cast Away? Any other shipwrecked movies, novels or plays? Here is another one – the play Shipwrecked! An Entertainment – The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (as told by himself), by Donald Margulies, that is now playing at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's outdoor stage on the campus of St. Elizabeth's College, off route 24, in Convent Station.

EVENT PREVIEWS

(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers are holding auditions for The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe on Monday, January 13 and Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Burgdorff Center. Auditions will take place from 7:00pm to 10:00pm both nights. Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00pm. The production will be Directed by Victoria Lauture Duncker with Musical Direction by Ebony Wiggins.
