Brick City Comedy Revue presents North to Shore Edition with Chris Gethard

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Brick City Comedy Revue, Newark's premier comedy showcase, has joined the festivities of North to Shore with a special edition on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Kilkenny Alehouse. The event, hosted by Justin Williams and DJ Popido, promises a special line-up of some of the best comedians around. The comedy lineup includes Chris Gethard, Kenice Mobley, Shakir Standley (Shak), Alex Grubard, and Ariel Leaty. The musical guest is Jané Miranda. Showtime is 8:00pm.

A Spot for Frog directed by Evan Bode and The Chosen One directed by Elazar Fine, may at first seem like two short films that have nothing in common. Look at the difference between the protagonists alone; one is a non-binary teenager and the other is an adult Hasidic man. However, upon closer viewing, both films grapple with the age-old question of identity, and consider if we ever truly find a place to call our own.

2023 GRAMMY-Winning Trio Time For Three to Open the Princeton Festival

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning trio Time for Three leads off the Opening Weekend of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's 2023 Princeton Festival on Friday, June 9 at 7:00pm. Their high-octane eclecticism sets the tone for the 16-day showcase for the performing arts which includes opera, musical theater, orchestral music, Baroque and chamber music, dance, and more. Rounding out the weekend are Aretha, A Tribute on Saturday, June 10 at 7:00pm and a recital by pianist Christopher Taylor on Sunday, June 11 at 4:00pm. All three performances take place in the outdoor performance pavilion on the grounds of beautiful Morven Museum & Garden.
