Summertime, and many head down the shore to the barrier island and summer colony known anachronistically as LBI. Surfing, sailing, cycling, or swimming may be on the agenda, along with snorkeling and summer concerts, but on the weekend of Aug. 12 and 13, the LBI Artist Open Studio Tour will add to Long Beach Island's cultural amenities.

Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Step Afrika
(WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Step Afrika on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 6:00pm in the Pollak Theatre. This show introduces audiences to stepping through both a traditional and contemporary lens. Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience.
Outpost in the Burbs Presents Ted Leo with opener Elk City

With an impressive body of work spanning the course of three decades, John Cusack has evolved into one of Hollywood's most accomplished and respected actors of his generation, garnering both critical acclaim as well as prestigious accolades for his dramatic and comedic roles. He will take the bergenPAC stage to talk about his career after screening his 1985 comedy Better Off Dead.

County College of Morris presents "In The Heights"
(RANDOLPH, NJ) -- The Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies at County College of Morris (CCM) presents this fall's musical "In The Heights" from November 6-9, 2024. The play is set in the lively Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan—where sweet coffee flows from corner bodegas, windows are always open and the air resonates with the rhythm of three generations of music.

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- A new exhibit at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University will celebrate two southern New Jersey tribal communities through the display of historical documents, traditional artifacts and contemporary art. "Still Here: The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape and Powhatan-Renape Nations of Southern New Jersey" opens October 9 and runs until January 5, 2025.
