Avenel Performing Arts Center presents "ChrisMYSTERY: Suspicion at the Elf-Help Center"
(AVENEL, NJ) -- Avenel Performing Arts Center presents ChrisMYSTERY: Suspicion at the Elf-Help Center from November 30 through December 2, 2023. In this production, Mrs. Claus has opened the annual Elf-Help Meeting at Santa’s Workshop, surrounded by some of the finest elves: Pixie (President of the Elf Appreciation Society); Ramon, (a bossy head elf); and Moshe (dedicated to putting a little Manischewitz in the Christmas punch).

George Street Playhouse presents "Having Our Say"
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Having Our Say, the Tony Award-nominated play by Emily Mann (A Streetcar Named Desire, Anna and the Tropics). Having Our Say is adapted from the book by Sarah (Sadie) L. Delany & A. Elizabeth (Bessie) Delany with Amy Hill Hearth and is directed by Laiona Michelle (Her Portmanteau). The production begins previews Tuesday, November 28, 2023, with opening night set for Friday, December 1 for a limited run through Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Jazz fans have arrived at Toms River, NJ's Grunin Center for the Arts this November 13, 2023 for a special "Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon" concert by Cynthia Sayer and her Joyride quartet. Considered one of the finest 4-string jazz banjo players in the world, Sayer is known for playing with musicians like Wynton Marsalis, Les Paul, and the New York Philharmonic, in addition to performing on movie soundtracks including Sophie's Choice and The Purple Rose of Cairo.

"Still Here: The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape and Powhatan-Renape Nations of Southern New Jersey" opens October 9 and runs until January 5, 2025.
