Tim Kubart is known to audiences for infusing children’s music with a pop sensibility and heartfelt sound that moves your feet and touches your heart. Joined on stage by his band, the “Space Cadets” (and a tap-dancing sidekick!), Tim performs songs celebrating real life kid and family moments and milestones.
He has released 5 independent albums for kids, is multi-GRAMMY nominated, and won the GRAMMY for Best Children’s Album in 2016 for his album HOME. His most recent album, Building Blocks, was nominated for a GRAMMY in 2019. Tim’s music is also a mainstay on Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live.
With a passion for children’s media and all its forms, Tim hosts the podcast “Highlights Hangout” for Highlights Magazine, is a HarperCollins published picture book author with his debut “Oopsie-Do!”, and writes songs for other children’s properties including PBS, Netflix, and Sesame Street. Sesame contributions include the introduction song for Julia, the first muppet with autism.
He is possibly best known as “Tambourine Guy,” an original member of the viral music collective Postmodern Jukebox, a YouTube channel with over 1 billion views. With sold out shows across 6 continents, Tim has toured extensively with the group playing sold out world famous venues. He also created “Postmodern JUICEbox,” a preschool friendly version of PMJ.
