Zufall Health Seeks Submissions for Sussex County Photo Contest

Zufall Health invites children and adults to participate in a photo contest themed “What makes Sussex County special?” Entrants may submit up to 10 photos that showcase the uniqueness of the Sussex County community and their pride in it. This could include landscapes, local events, community activities, or anything that highlights the beauty and spirit of the area. The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 1, 2024.

The contest is divided into three age groups (12 and under; 13-17; 18 and above), and the winner of each group will receive a prize. The winning photos in each age group will be displayed at Zufall's National Rural Health Day celebration on Thursday, November 21,  2024, at Newton High School, 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

You may submit up to 10 photos for consideration. Email your photos to Zufall Health at communications@zufallhealth.org with the following information:

Photo(s): Submit high-resolution jpeg or png files clearly labeled with the photographer name, title of photo, and size in pixels (ex. John_Smith_Lake_Views_1080x1920).

Photographer age and Photographer bio, if you would like to include one.

Details and Rules: All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

* Photos should not contain watermarks, borders, or signatures.

* Photos must be a minimum of 2500 pixels on the longest side, at 300 dpi. Photos may be horizontal or vertical in any ratio. The file size for each photo must not exceed 10 MB.

* Photos must be appropriate for all ages and audiences. Prohibited subjects include political statements, commercial advertising, and subject matter not suited for a public display space and/or minors.

* The selection committee has final say on determining the eligibility of photos.

Photos will be judged on relevance to the theme, creativity and originality, and quality of the photograph. One winner will be selected from each of the following age categories and notified on Monday, November 11.

Zufall Health reserves the right to refuse photos that do not conform to the above standards. Entrants authorize Zufall Health to distribute their images for non-commercial purposes with photo credits. Entrants retain copyright, with Zufall having permission to post photos on social media and website.

Winning photos will be printed by Zufall Health, not by the photographer. Winners are not required to attend the exhibition at National Rural Health Day, but are highly encouraged.

Zufall Health is not responsible for any technical issues, malfunctions, or other problems that may occur during the entry process or the contest period.

By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless Zufall Health from any liability, claim, or cause of action arising from participation in the contest or acceptance, receipt, or use/misuse of any prize.
